I have been spending a ridiculous amount of time on ensuring that all of our members display our avatar in their Journals, Shoutboards, linked to other Journals displaying our club avatar, OR our club name in your signature line.

My Reason?.....................again, is very simple.
I will not give exposure to someone who has us on their watchlist, but has left DA without removing us, or who has never been active with the club since they've joined in any way.

I was recently accused of asking you guys to place our avatar in your journal to get pageviews. Needless to say, I was very offended when accused of this.

I have had several people question my reasons and/or make a case for why they'd not like to display our avatar, and I want you guys to know that I do respect your right to creativity on your Journal page.

I have made a decision just this morning.

I will no longer require that you display our avatar anywhere, or our name in your signature line as a requirement to be a member or submit to our gallery. All that is required is that you watch us.

However, those of you who have been around long enough, know that one of the best ways to get exposure here is through our Journal features and contests.
Our contests require that you find other members to expose.
It will be a requirement during these contests that when looking for members to feature, that you see our club avatar displayed somewhere, or our name in their signature line.
Let me warn you that looking for an avatar on someone's front page is alot simpler than digging through comments under photos for a signature. I suspect that most members will stop at looking for avatars on Journal pages, and those of you who choose to display our name in your signature, may miss out, or lessen your chances of being chosen for a Journal feature.

So to reiterate, IF you choose not to display our avatar blah blah blah, You WILL NOT BE FEATURED IN OUR JOURNALS.

Enough said.

This goes into effect now.

I will, however, continue to go through our member list, and delete those members who have appeared to have left DA.

They will recieve a note advising them they have been removed giving them a chance should they return to DA to notify the club.

Also, it would be greatly appreciated that is you choose to leave the club that you let us know so we can remove you from our watchlist.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, this has been a very tedious task for me.
